- Your phyiscal fitness won’t ever improve or be at the highest level possible if you don’t focus on obtaining the 10 components of a powerful mindset. I promise.
- Put these 2 lists on your wall, in your box, or where you train. The two lists of 10 are separate but powerfully connected.
- Every person who even remotely understands the purpose and goal of training their body, should understand and learn that the right mentality is imperative.
The 10 Components of Physical Fitness
- 1. Cardiovascular/respiratory endurance - The ability of body systems to gather, process, and deliver oxygen.
- 2. Stamina - The ability of body systems to process, deliver, store, and utilize energy.
- 3. Strength - The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply force.
- 4. Flexibility - the ability to maximize the range of motion at a given joint.
- 5. Power - The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply maximum force in minimum time.
- 6. Speed - The ability to minimize the time cycle of a repeated movement.
- 7. Coordination - The ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular distinct movement.
- 8. Agility - The ability to minimize transition time from one movement pattern to another.
- 9. Balance - The ability to control the placement of the bodies’ center of gravity in relation to its support base.
- 10. Accuracy - The ability to control movement in a given direction or at a given intensity.
The 10 Components of a Powerful Mindset
- 1. Awareness – Knowledge and deep consciousness about mind, emotions & actions
- 2. Belief – Confidence and faith in ability, training, team, coaching & goals
- 3. Focus – A clear and strong vision & ability to direct attention & effort solely to that purpose & controllable factors
- 4. Control – Ability to exercise restraint and direction over emotions & thoughts
- 5. Courage – the quality of mind that enables a person to face difficulty, unknown, discomfort, etc.; bravery
- 6. Adaptability – ability to adjust oneself readily to different conditions and recover from adversary
- 7. Positivity – the state of being positive and optimistic
- 8. Coachability – ability to take direction and be coached effectively
- 9. Perseverance – steady & solid persistence on course of action towards purpose
- 10. Balance – mental steadiness or emotional stability to maintain wellness; habit of calm behavior & judgment
If even 1 of the mental aspects is missing or is weak, than physical greatness can not be achieved.
